When is Superwhisper the better pick?

You dictate on more than a Mac. One Superwhisper license covers Windows, iPhone and Android too, on as many devices as you own.
You want the model to rewrite what you said: custom prompts, your own AI API keys, translation into English.
You also transcribe recorded audio or video files. That is a Pro feature in Superwhisper; Sorimac does live dictation only.
The free plan is enough for you. Unlimited Whisper models cost nothing, which beats any price.
You want a longer refund window. Superwhisper lists 30 days on every plan; we offer 14.

When does Sorimac fit?

You only dictate on one Apple Silicon Mac and want to pay once, at a price lower than one month of most subscriptions.
You want dictation to stay plain: speech in, text at the cursor, with an optional auto-Enter so a message sends hands-free.
You want three ways to start: always listening, hold a key while you talk (push-to-talk), or a wake word.
You want voice commands for the Mac itself, like "Computer, volume up" or "Computer, open Chrome".
You dictate in Korean, Japanese, Thai, Hindi or another of our 21 languages (8 in beta) and want a model picked for it. New installs use Qwen3-ASR; Whisper turbo is one switch away.

What does each cost over one and three years?
