Questions

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no word limit from us. The page uses the speech recognition that is already in your browser.

Where does my audio go?

Your browser's speech service does the recognition. Chrome and Edge send the audio to Google's or Microsoft's servers. Safari may use Apple's servers or work on the device. This page never receives or stores your audio or text; the text lives in this tab until you close it.

It doesn't work in my browser.

Firefox doesn't support speech recognition on web pages. Use Chrome, Edge or Safari, and allow microphone access when asked.

Can it type into other apps?

Not from a browser tab. On a Mac, Sorimac types into any app and processes speech on the Mac itself, with no internet needed after the model download.

It stops after a pause.

Browsers end a session after some silence. The mic restarts on its own while it is on; press it again to stop.
